Thursday, November 13, 2008 — 4:30 p.m. will be the 2008 District K meeting sponsored by the Minnesota Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (MAFCS) organization. The meeting is a joint
meeting for members of MAFCS, TC HEIB, FACSEd, TCHC and Phi U.
The program begins at 5:15 pm: Marcia Copeland will honor the life and legacy of Ellen Swallow Richards and home economics early and more recent years.
6:10 PM - Dinner
7:15 PM - Professor Jean Kinsey, Director of the Food Industry Center will provide an update on the current food industry response to global and family matters in light of today's economics

Twin Cities Home Economists in Business (TC HEIB)
October 29 Cookbook Gala evening planned to showcase their fundraising cookbook, “The Chocolate Lovers’ Cookbook” which features favorite chocolate recipes from TC HEIB members. The event will be at the Minnesota Humanities Center in St. Paul.
